Senem, born 1988, is a graduate of Braunschweig University of Arts, holding a bachelors degree in media studies.
In 2012, Senem enrolled at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin. Initially, she studied production and started working part-time at film distributor and cinema operator Piffl Medien.
In 2015 she changed her major to directing, and realized experimental and fictional short films, finishing her education in 2021 with the internationally acclaimed documentary "Turkish Riviera".
Currently Senem is developing her fictional debut and is working as a freelance filmmaker with an emphasis on editing.
